My Upcoming Match

In the next week or so I'll be playing a doubles match.

A double match is usually 2 armies of 750 points each, sharing one force organisation chart vs another 2 armies of 750 points each, sharing one force organisation chart.

I'll be playing 750 points of my new Chaos Marines and I'll be teamed up with Stone who will be playing Chaos Daemons.

The two of us will be up against Damien's vanilla marines (although I think he might try and surprise us and use the Dark Angels Codex I leant him the other day. Damien will be teamed up with Jamie who will be running his new Space Wolf army.

I'm a bit worried about the Space Wolves, although I've never played against them before but everything I've read online leads me to believe they can be a real handful. I've been reading up on a few battle reports to get some ideas on what to do.

It seems the general opinion for Chaos vs. Space Wolves seems to be "shoot the crap out of them before they get too close". That's certainly something I'm going to take on board before I start planning my army list.

Below is the list that Stone will be running:

HQ - 270
Bloodthirster
Unholy Might.

Troops - 192
6 Bloodletters of Khorne

6 Bloodletters of Khorne

Heavy Support - 290
Daemon Prince of Chaos
Iron Hide; Unholy Might; Mark of Khorne.

752 points.

------------------------------------------------

The force organisation chart leaves me with:

1 HQ
3 Elites
4 Troops
2 Fast Attack

Stone and I decided that we wanted to run an army with 4 Daemon Princes on the board, so that's where my HQ will be going. A Daemon Prince of Nurgle, with Wings and Power Armour (of course) costs 220 points, leaving me with 530 points to play around with.

For the Elites I plan to use Plague Marines.
Plague Marines are seriously Hard Bastards and can take a real kicking before taking any Wounds. Another great thing about PMs is they can take 2 Meltaguns per squad, just the right amount of firepower to punch a hole in those pesky Space Puppies.

With 5 toughness, Feel No Pain, Fearless, and poisoned weapons they should be able to hold their own in close combat and long range. I'm also going to give each champion a Gift Of Mutation.

Finally I'm going to field 20 cultists as scoring units. I know cultists aren't able to dish out any damage but if I can get them to an objective, they should be able to hold it for some time.

So, in conclusion, here is the list I plan to field next week:

Bruce And Stone Team Up (Chaos_Space_Marines)

HQ - 230
Daemon Prince
Daemon of Nurgle; gift of mutation; wings; power armour.

Elites - 410
7 Plague Marines
